Aurora
(n) The dawn in the early morning
Sleeping princess with her roseate dress,
Awoken by true love’s kiss, no less.
The flush of the sun’s first rays-
The coral sparkle in the sky that stays.
The opening of eyes after a dream so true,
The selfless motivation towards the day through.
The princess cursed to sleep for a millenia;
The gates closed shut with deadly sarracenia.
The pinks and oranges in the morn,
Of all pretence and shadow shorn.
The skyline awakening from the moon's lullaby,
The birds start chirping mellifluously, by and by.
The stars tucked in for the day to go,
The moon bids adieu, just so.
The sun arises, soft flushes spreading,
The children awake, the new day treading.
The aurora that spreads through the sky,
Bless my eyes on this new day to fly.
